Michelle Kaufman, DPM, MPH
Dr. Kaufman is a board certified podiatrist who provides patient centered, sophisticated, foot and ankle care. She is a highly skilled foot and ankle surgeon with extensive experience treating a wide range of ailments to the lower extremity. Her expertise includes all areas of Podiatric medicine with an emphasis on sports and dance medicine for adult and pediatric care. Dr. Kaufman completed a dual degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine and Masters of Public health magna cum laude. She graduated cum laude from Binghamton University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Dr. Kaufman completed four years of residency beginning at Yale-New Haven Hospital and then continued at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, serving as chief resident in her last year of training. During her residency, Dr. Kaufman gained extensive experience in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, lower extremity trauma, and diabetic limb salvage.
Elisa Kavanagh, DPM
Dr. Elisa Kavanagh is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a Diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Kavanagh received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island, and is a graduate of the Temple School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed three years of advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at one of the top podiatric residencies in the nation, The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, where she was chief resident. Dr. Kavanagh has served as the official Foot and Ankle Specialist for the Radio City Rockettes since 2002, and has treated many performers from the NYC Ballet and Broadway shows.
Mariola Rivera Morell, DPM
As a dedicated foot and ankle surgeon with a passion for personalized patient care, Mariola Rivera, DPM, is a leader in innovative solutions. Dr. Rivera welcomes new and existing patients to Aesthetic Podiatry & Sports Medicine Center, with locations in Purchase and White Plains, New York.
After completing her Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine and premedical studies from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, Dr. Rivera was accepted into medical school. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Rivera went on to complete a competitive podiatric medicine and surgical residency at the Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. She currently maintains professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
With her extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Rivera is a highly regarded surgeon for aesthetic and deformity corrections. Dr. Rivera also has special interests in wound management and sports medicine and regularly treats runners, ballet dancers, and other athletes.
