Samuel Beran, MD, MBA, FACS
Co-Founder/Medical Director
Dr. Beran is a nationally recognized cosmetic surgeon with nearly twenty years of surgical experience. He has authored dozens of scientific papers and chapters as well as Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction, the definitive text on the subject.
Dr. Beran completed his general surgery training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and went on to graduate from the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX, with a degree in plastic surgery.
After several years as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Texas Southwestern, and winning the Plastic Surgery Excellence in Teaching Award, Dr. Beran relocated to Westchester County, NY, to be closer to his family. He recently held position as Chief of Plastic Surgery at White Plains Hospital and is currently on staff at both Northern Westchester Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY.
In addition to being certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Beran has served the Board as a guest examiner. He’s been recognized by New York Magazine as one of the country’s “Hot New Docs†and acknowledged on multiple occasions as “Best Plastic Surgeon†by Westchester Magazine. Dr. Beran specializes in cosmetic surgery; included in his expertise are breast augmentations and lifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, facial cosmetic surgery and reconstruction after skin cancer.
Adriana York, MBA
Administrator/Executive Director
Adriana earned a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University and an MBA from Iona College Hagan School of Business. She’s been employed in the healthcare industry for 20 years and, in 10 years of medical patient and insurance billing, is known for her keen attention to detail and exercising sound fiduciary judgment in determining billing policies and monitoring expenditures and operational standards. Adriana has been with SSCW since February 2014.

Director of Nursing
Nancy has a profound and extensive background in nursing and administrative leadership. She has been with our team since 2021 and we are incredibly grateful for her contribution to our leadership initiatives.
Tara Torabi , MBA
Business Office Manager
Tara Torabi encompasses a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and has recently obtained her MBA. Tara has been employed at the Surgical Specialty Center of Westchester since January 2016 and has exhibited continual dedication and growth within the company; being promoted to the Billing Department in 2018 and recently accepting a promotion to Business Office Manager as of October 2022. Tara’s educational and professional background signify her well-rounded approach to business operations and have allowed her to become an integral administrative professional at the Surgical Specialty Center of Westchester.
Lauren Baccello, RN
Clinical Coordinator
Lauren comes to our facility with an extensive background in many areas of nursing, including being an OR nurse for 6 years. She graduated on the Dean’s List from CMSV. Although new to our facility, Lauren brings significant experience and leadership to our nursing team. Lauren has been with SSCW since early 2023.
